THE POOR BOY looked at Paul McCartney. "I saw him through a crack in the door, going up the stairs chatting with my mum," says Adam Ant, né Stuart Goddard. In the mid-60s, his mother used to clean the bachelor Beatles St Johns Wood home. Young Stuart wangled his way in as often as possible and took McCartneys dog Martha for walks. But that was the only time he caught sight of the Moptop charmer.
