Al Stewart
Steve Turner, Beat Instrumental, April 1972
Al Stewart earned his fame by singing about Bedsitter Images and closed subway stations. Now he owns a house in Hampstead outside of which he parks his white Aston Martin. "Ill probably be singing Belsize Park Lane House images now," joked Al when I met him two days after having moved in.
