Alice Cooper: No More Mr Nice Guy

Steve Turner, Outloud, 1973

Vincent Furnier is sitting in Max's Kansas City on 24th Street and Park Avenue in downtown New York City. It's 1 a.m. on a Monday morning and he's tired... but happy. His mascara's beginning to run a bit but that's to be expected as he's only just finished work and is relaxing with a beer. Actually, he's hardly had much time to change as can be seen by his blue denim shorts a la California and his red cowboy boots a la Texas. Everyone at Max's Kansas City seems to know Vincent and those that don’t know how he earns his living. In case anyone should be in any kind of doubt, the occupation is emblazoned across the chest of Vincent's rust coloured T shirt. In letters of white it reads: I AM ALICE.
