Alive And Well In Argentina At Last: The Mirth, The Music, The Magic Of Zalman Yanovsky
Gary Pig Gold, Big O, December 2002
I KNOW AT LEAST one of his fellow supposedly-lovin Spoonfuls resents the situation to this day, but whenever Zal Yanovsky appeared on stage alongside John Sebastian, Joe Butler, and Steve Boone during their halcyon daze in the mid-swinging '60s, some poor girl in the audience would inevitably capsize the entire proceedings by screeching out a heartfelt, lung-felt, 16-year-old cry of "ZALLY!" at precisely the most inopportune of moments (ie; just as Sebastian would sensually lean into his mic to softly croon how he didnt want to have to do it).
