WHEN ROCK 'N' ROLL ARRIVED, it triggered a three-alarm anxiety attack in Nashville. Many hoped that they would wake up one morning to find it had all been a terrible dream. It really wasn't until the Everly Brothers broke through in the summer of 1957 that there was a consistently successful rock 'n' roll act based, recorded, managed, and produced in Nashville.
