WITH THE SUCCESS of the Beatles came countless other English rock groups, among them the Zombies. This combo employed a very satisfying Beatle-ish approach that distinguished them from their Chuck Berry-blues influenced contemporaries. But despite their originality and creativity, the Zombies were never to achieve a popularity as high as their critical acclaim, and are considered by many to have been the most underrated group in rock.
