MUSIC COMMENTATOR Colin Harper once wrote that Bert Jansch, on a scale of one to 10 in terms of popular notoriety, probably would come in at about a minus 12. Certainly in the MTV/VH1 world where artistic merit is defined by image and Soundscan is an absolute standard of success, Bert Jansch is inconspicuous to the point of being invisible.
