"B.G. HERE," drawled the voice on the phone. Billy Gibbons was calling from Arizona where he was en route to Los Angeles for the filming of a Johnny Carson episode. My jaw fairly dropped. The image of Gibbons trading licks with Doc Severinsen seemed too odd a coupling to bear.
