Billy MacKenzie: Beyond The Sun
Paul Lester, Uncut, November 1997
BEYOND THE Sun is a fitting tribute to Billy Mackenzie, who committed suicide this year, although it was nearly a completely different album. This posthumous release was originally designed along the lines of Michael Jackson's HIStory: a double, with one LP of new material (recorded by Billy in the months before his death), the other a sort of Best Of Associates.
