Black Flag: My War (Continued)
Richard Grabel, NME, 12 July 1986
FRIDAY NIGHT at New York's Irving Plaza, filled to the rafters with punks letting their freak flags fly. Tattered, dazed and confused kids line the corridor floors. Their faces seem to say, we're beyond boredom, and damn it, even if this Henry Rollins is the greatest frontman in rock right now, and even if this Greg Ginn is one incredible hot shit guitarist, we're not letting anything shake us. Swans and Sonic Youth are on the guest list. It's a night for gathering poisonous flowers.
