Bob Dylan: Life Among The Dead

Richard Williams, MOJO, June 2001

I SUPPOSE you would have to say that 1987 was not a great year for Bob Dylan, or for Bob Dylan's fans. He played harmonica on a Warren Zevon album track, he attended Elizabeth Taylor's 55th birthday party, he visited Gracelands, he guested on a Ringo Starr session that the drummer subsequently deemed unfit for release, he appeared in the film Hearts Of Fire. And – infamously, unforgivably – he went on the road with The Grateful Dead.
