Boomtown Rats: Do You Sincerely Want To Be Rich?
Sandy Robertson, Sounds, 17 December 1977
WHEN SOUNDZ Mother Superior Viv Goldman asked me to do this article I was less than delighted. Reasons being:
1 I've never been hot to trot for Irish people, much less Irish rock bands (they bore me more than my Scots compatriots, mostly).
2 I had always harboured some vague notion that The Boomtown Rats were some bandwagoneering, year-too-late bunch of scumbags.
