Boredoms: Never a Dull Moment

Chris Campion, New Musical Express, 13 July 2002

EYE YAMANTAKA, founder and creative visionary of Japan's Boredoms, is one of rock's great eccentrics. His band churn out a cosmic slop for kids with attention deficit disorder. Songs jump-cut between a welter of styles – garage rock, dub, punk, funk, and thrash. In the hands of any lesser band, this would be an utter shambles, but when Boredoms play the effect is absolutely exhilarating.
