Buddy Guy: A Bluesman for All Seasons
Bill Wasserzieher, Blues Revue, January 2001
FOR THE SOUTHERN rail traveler, The City of New Orleans runs from the Crescent City on the Gulf up through the Mississippi state capitol of Jackson and the rural townships of Yazoo City and Greenwood before it crosses over into Tennessee to take on passengers in Memphis. From there the train heads into the other world of the North, stopping in the farming and industrial communities of Carbondale, Centralia and Champaign-Urbana, before concluding its run at the Mecca on the Great Lakes, the metropolis of Chicago.
