LAST YEAR, Friendly Fires' self-titled debut album marked them out as one of the most exciting and danceable new bands in the country. They'd certainly had time to formulate a recipe for success. The St. Albans trio, fronted by singer Ed MacFarlane, first bonded over a mutual love of US punk a decade ago.
