I REMEMBER the early publicity campaign, a minor masterpiece of hip PR and, it being early 1969 when the 'Underground Group As Pop Stars' syndrome had yet to develop its potential. I recall a degree of expectation rarely encountered before, save perhaps for the hinted promises of bodily stimulation in the gym changing rooms during school dances.
