Catching Up With The Byrds' John York
Bill Wasserzieher, Full Circle, Summer 1993
A TALENTED musician who played with major American bands in the late 1960s, John York seemed to fall off the edge of the map – or at least off Pete Frame's family trees – following his departure from the Byrds in 1970. But after a two-decade absence, he has recently reappeared on the California folk festival circuit. The following interview took place on May 23, 1993, after a performance in Claremont, California.
