Ed Sanders spent the summer of the Tate-LaBianca murders yodeling the ditties that were to come to comprise Sanders Truckstop into an overhead mike at Apostolic Studios in Manhattan and collecting the tapes, documents, hallucinations and amphetamine-begat agrammatism that would form the basis of his saga of the Aeonic Smut Brigade, Shards of God.
