Chilli Willi & The Red Hot Peppers: Marquee Club, London
Charles Shaar Murray, NME, 9 March 1974
CHILLI WILLI and the Red Hot Peppers are gonna save your soul. They're the only band in the country specialising in funky country, an area that the Brinsleys occasionally impinge on but never totally occupy. The Red Hot Peppers are into the likes of Doug Kershaw and Jerry Reed, which means that the Nashville Room won't book them, but who needs that anyway?
