The university of California has long been noted for its political militants, and the Telegraph Avenue area immediately to the south has been a favorite stomping ground for every kind of social deviant imaginable. In recent years, the separate philosophies and life styles of the two groups have been coming closer and closer together, producing a "Let's get stoned and blow up the ROTC Building" attitude.
