THIRTY SEVEN YEARS ago my Mum wouldn't let me go to the Cream Farewell Concert. She didn't want me to mix with all those long-haired weirdoes. These days my therapist gives me pretty free rein and the '60's weirdoes have become media types or the long-term unemployed. The latter class couldn't afford the £125 for a ticket from the box office or up to £400 from a tout, so the audience on the night consisted of corporate men wearing Ralph Lauren and power women in Notting Hill chic.
