WITH ALL courtesy to the self-proclaimed Black Caesar, Curtis Mayfield's Superfly was the musical equivalent to Mario Puzo's novel The Godfather. Both were nearly as successful aesthetically as they were commercially, but the question remains: would you take a chance on Puzo's next novel?
