CURTIS MAYFIELD is a hard man to catch these days. If he's not locked away in a studio all night recording himself, the Impressions, or some of the new names, then he's dashing cross-country making live appearances. So it took five days to track him down and get him talking about his new album Roots – his second since going solo.
