Derek and the Dominos: In Concert
Jim Esposito, Zoo World, 29 March 1973
OFFHAND I'D venture to say there won't be many people disappointed with the new Derek and the Dominos. Perhaps the worst feature of the whole album is they only do 'Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad?' for a measly nine minutes and forty seconds, but even that is squared when they linger over 'Let It Rain' for seventeen and change. It's everything a live album could possibly be; a perfect match/follow-up/counterpart/complement to Layla, and furthermore, it's just as much a Derek and the Dominos album as its predecessor – which is probably the best way to sum it all up.
