Doo-wop: Still White & Alright
Bill Millar, Let It Rock, May 1975
FIRST, A BOOK. Despite the comparatively recent growth industry in rock'n'roll literature, we still don't have a half-way decent encyclopaedia worthy of the name. The best attempt to date, and one to which your attention should certainly be drawn, is Norm N. Nite's Rock On (Thomas V. Crowell Co., 676 pages, $12.95), which claims to include biographies on all Hot Hundred entrants between 1953 and 1963.
