Doobie Brothers: Livin' On The Fault Line
Phil Sutcliffe, Sounds, 10 September 1977
WHATEVER HAPPENED to the Doobie Brothers? I've often wondered. And this new album is no help. None of them play on it and the sleeve notes offer no explanation for the family's absence from a record attributed to them. Still, the boys who've stood in for them this time have done a creditable job so I guess we have to overlook the wayward stars and concentrate on the music.
