Elton John: The Short Hello
Charles Shaar Murray, NME, 6 July 1974
OL' COCONUT Bonce is back. Elton Schmelton himself in the too, too solid flesh, still opening up interview sessions by walking into the room at exactly eleven-oh-four-ack-emma and saying, "Good evening," just like he thought it was funny. Still, he's pretty good-humoured considering that he's talking to somebody who panned the peanuts out of Caribou, his latest assault on the record racks of the nation.
