Eurythmics: The Ministry Of Truth
Adam Sweeting, Melody Maker, 4 May 1985
AMONG THE CRASH of crockery and the hubbub of tea-slurping customers, Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox sit unobtrusively at a table in the Waldorf Hotel. Typically, they've chosen a position at the edge of the dining area. There is a possibility that they can be observed from the raised gallery running behind them, but the rest of the room is comfortably in their view. In front of them sits a slightly-damaged Devonshire Cream Tea. Dave says he hasn't touched it, and puts the blame on Annie, who laughs tolerantly. Eurythmics are back in town.
