First Choice: Everybody's First Choice
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, May 1973
IT'S NOT very often that we Europeans get the opportunity to appreciate an American Soul record in advance to the native Americans, but in the case of First Choice, we can not only boast the fact that their initial release on Philly Groove – Bell in this country – is currently No. 2 on the B&S charts, poised to take over the top spot any minute, but that their previous and only other recording, 'This Is The House Where Love Died', is certainly better known in this country than in the States.
