FROM ROCK to Acid Rock is first a ride to freedom, second an illusion. Rock, the kind of music for which Rosko still does extravagant PR work on Radio 1, was an arrangement whereby legions of hillbillies and teddyboys were robbed of their homelands and privacy by tired agents and obese promoters who took a lot more than ten per cent.
