Fugi
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, November 1971
FUGI Is a name that will mean absolutely nothing to virtually every reader of B&S. So let's start by telling you that Fugi pronounced foo-gee with a soft 'g' is a band, lead by Ellington Jordan. As a group, they have had releases on Chess although they recently signed with Grand Junction Records in Detroit, which is where Blue Horizon obtained the rights to Fugi's first British single release, 'Red Moon'.
