AFTER BEING INITIATORS in the early development of English folk/rock a period which culminated in their helping to form the Steeleye Span's first cup-winning team Gay and Terry Woods retreated from tangible legal problems and metaphysical urban ones alike to spend a term in Eire, keeping themselves to themselves and generally depriving the world at large of their talents.
