Grand Funk Railroad: 'I Know You'll Get To Like It If You Give It A Chance Now'
Greg Shaw, Phonograph Record, 1 April 1974
A BRISK, ICY WIND was blowing through the overcast skies of Flint, Michigan as the members of Grand Funk Railroad arrived at Whiting Auditorium for the first dress rehearsal prior to the most extensive tour of their career. Kicking off in Richmond, Kentucky, the tour would be taking them into more than 40 towns in the course of some 90 days, in each and every one of which they would be expected to help the local populace party down in no uncertain fashion.
