Grateful Dead: March of the Deadheads

Frank Broughton, i-D, August 1994

The Grateful Dead are the focus for the surviving remnants of America's counterculture: the Deadheads, a colourful bunch of travelling hippies who have created a psychedelic scene linking the '60s to the '90s. Now Deadheads are linking up with house sound systems and a whole new area of rave culture is opening up. We join their party under the California sun.
