Humble Pie: Town and Country; As Safe As Yesterday Is; Humble Pie

Metal Mike Saunders, Rolling Stone, 12 November 1970

HUMBLE PIE'S debut album was released only in England. It was called Town and Country and was, for the most part, quiet and basically acoustic and well produced by Steve Marriott. And boring. Peter Frampton and his singing conjured up the image of a third-rate Stevie Winwood coypist who had spent some time listening to Traffic's second album, and his songs were not much different.
