Ian Hunter: Welcome To The Club
Charles Shaar Murray, NME, 5 April 1980
THIS IS a double live album and as such is prone to all the problems that such vinyl is heir. Problem (1): the cover is an ugly monstrosity; the centrefold filled with colour photos of the participants banged down any old how while the front is an inexplicable, misconceived null-and-void job which conveys absolutely nothing except that Ian Hunter is somehow involved. Double live albums are almost always execrably packaged, and this one is certainly no exception.
