TWO EXCELLENT ways to become a sort of "cult" rock hero: 1) Be dead; 2) Be bonkers...Actually, come to think of it, the first option never worked terribly well for Gary Thain out of the Keef Hartley Band and Uriah Heep. But never mind, the second has kept the name of Roger Keith "Syd" (Syd) Barrett alive for all these many years since his descent into a strange, sad, secluded madman.
