Jean Plum
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, February 1976
MAKING HER debut in the British soul charts this week is vivacious Jean Plum, whose London release of 'Look At The Boy' has been hotly tipped by pop DJs to succeed. Jean is the latest in a long line of fine female vocalistes discovered by Willie Mitchell and signed to his Hi label, whose mainstay of course is Al Green a man who has carried the Memphis banner alone for far too long since the Stax empire went into decay.
