Jimi Hendrix: Crash Landing
Miles, NME, 18 October 1975
THE SLEEVE of this album, unhelpfully enough, doesn't give the history of these tracks, which are taken from the 500 plus hours of 16-track tape Hendrix left behind him in an unmixed and fragmentary state. Alan Douglas took it all into the studio and added new bass, drum and sometimes vocal tracks on to these to produce finished recordings years after Jimi's death.
