I'VE BEEN living in Stoke Newington for about six months. The area's one of the most cosmopolitan in North-East London, with an immigrant population that moved in on the receding Anglo-Saxon tide, and that now gives the area its character people dump their rubbish collectively on street corners, that sort of thing.
