John Paul Jones: The Quiet One
Mat Snow, MOJO, December 2007
IN THE WORLD'S loudest group, John Paul Jones was the Quiet One. He never seemed to speak, and though he grooved, it was pressed up against his Marshall stacks or behind a barricade of keyboards while Robert Plant and Jimmy Page commanded the stage. Only his sometimes outré stage wardrobe marked him out as a Bill Wyman in touch with his inner Brian Jones.
