Johnny Winter: Still Alive And Well
Jim Esposito, Zoo World, Spring 1973
BY NOW EVERYONE must know the reason it took Johnny Winter such a long time to get around to recording this album was not simply because he had a hard time finding material that could follow his last live LP, though I'd venture to say he accomplished the purpose nonetheless. Still Alive And Well is probably the ultimate Johnny Winter. Don't be surprised if it ends up occupying your turntable a good deal of the time.
