Led Zeppelin: Interview with Jimmy Page
Mick Houghton, Sounds, 10 July 1976
IT'S OFTEN strange to recall the outstanding moments at all day music events. At Cardiff, it was a tribute to Duke Ellington being shown on the television in the backstage bar during one of the interminable changeover periods between groups. At Charlton, it wasn't that devastating Who performance that lingers in my memory so much as the sound of Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway To Heaven' crescendoing over the sodden crowd moments before the Who came sliding on stage. Sheer magic.
