Leonard Cohen: Death OF A Ladies Man

'LEONARD COHEN meets Phil Spector' sounds more like a line from a Lester Bangs article than something you would ever expect to actually become manifest on vinyl, yes? Cohen's dirge-like pessimism would hardly appear to be the perfect fodder for Spector's wall-of-sound cum Richard Wagner ecstatic streetnoise, but amazingly enough it works.
