LFO
Jim Arundel, Melody Maker, 20 July 1991
LFO are a perfect example of the kind of thing that makes fogeys furious. They hit the charts from nowhere while still in their teens, with an eponymous single stripped of all pretence to acoustic sound, defiantly electronic, relying for glamour on the illusion that it was untouched by human hand, as if the Gallop computer had programmed something of its own into the charts. And they were invisible.
