Linda Carr
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, July 1975
ACTUALLY, ALTHOUGH we are acclaiming Ms. Linda Carr as a "B&S Debut Feature", we are being technically incorrect because Linda was featured way back in 1966, when we first encountered her as a shy teenager guesting on an Apollo show with Percy Sledge, Bobby Hebb and the Stairsteps. The Los Angeles-born beauty had just left the James Brown Revue after six hectic but valuable months, which served as her introduction to the world of entertainment.
