Lou Reed: Coney Island Baby
Vivien Goldman, Sounds, 17 January 1976
Coney Island Baby finds Lou Reed in buoyant mood, the feeling that lilted through his first solo album, Lou Reed, and flashed intermittently in Sally Cant Dance. After the angst of Berlin, the semi-unlistenability of Metal Machine Music (Lous apologised for that) it was a soothing kind of pleasure that was aroused by the opening track, Crazy Feeling.
