I LAST SAW Lucinda Williams live about ten years ago when she supported Mary Chapin Carpenter in London – not an auspicious show. She seemed nervous and out of place and musically it was pedestrian. But now she's has grown into herself (too into herself, some say) and returned to London on the back of a great new album.
