IF WE had to nominate the most asked after Soul artist who is outside of the super league of the Hayes/Mayfield/James Brown/Motown and ilk, it would certainly be a toss up between Major Lance and Jackie Wilson. Jackie has spent the whole of his career with Brunswick Records thus making his actual recording history somewhat less interesting than the Major's.
