Malcolm McLaren
Paul Rambali, Face, The, June 1983
IN ANY MODERN dictionary of infamy, the name of Malcolm McLaren would merit a lengthy entry. He has been a purveyor of fetish-wear, an agent provocateur, a seducer of innocents. He has decried the state and the monarchy, invoked the anti-Christ and coined rebellion. He has stolen, lied, swindled and plotted. He is reviled as the sinister puppeteer, the exploiter of hopes and fears and much else besides. Does it bother him?
